Maldives FM Shahid meets Saudi Vice Minister of Finance

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, on Wednesday, met with Vice Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia Dr Hamad Bin Sulaiman Al-Bazai. During the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance in Saudi Arabia, Minister Shahid and the Vice Minister discussed projects which are currently ongoing or scheduled to take place in Maldives.

The Vice Minister assured that Saudi Arabia would assist Maldives to achieve development goals set by the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Minister Shahid also expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabian government for maintaining close bilateral ties. While the foreign minister is currently on a three-day official trip to the kingdom, he was accompanied by the Secretary of Policy at President’s Office Aminath Shuana, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Shiaan and other officials from the foreign ministry, and the Maldivian embassy in Saudi Arabia.
